Pedro Flores is entering his 15th year of professional baseball this season. His career began in 1996 when he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers after posting a 10-1 record at East Los Angeles Junior College. Flores played as high as AAA for the Dodgers organization. In 2000, he was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the Rule 5 draft. He was injured in big league camp and sent to AAA to rehabilitate. Over his pro baseball career, Flores compiled a record of 100-60 with a 3.42 ERA and more than 1,100 innings pitched. He has won four championships with various teams and from 2006-2008 played in the American Association for Coastal Bend and Ft. Worth, respectively.
Flores lives in Baldwin Park, Calif. with his wife and three children. He coaches baseball at Sierra Vista High School and works with at-risk youth. He is currently studying for his bachelor's degree in business.
