SHREVEPORT, La. – While Fair Grounds Field’s neighbor will host the main event on December 27, the Shreveport-Bossier Captains will host a pre-game tailgate party for the Georgia Tech Alumni Association before the Yellow Jackets take on Air Force in the Advocare V-100 Independence Bowl at 4 p.m.

The event will take place in the Coors Light Cold Zone, located on the third flood of Fair Grounds Field, and features a usual Captains’ Club-style all-you-can-eat buffet. Yellow Jacket fans can buy their tickets at the door and can RSVP online at the Georgia Tech Alumni Association Web site. Tickets are $13 per person, and children three and under are free. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 3:30.

“The Independence Bowl is an exciting event in the community, and we’re happy to be a part of it,” Captains VP/General Manager Craig Brasfield said. “The Captains’ Club is a great place for an event like this one thanks to our good friends at Coors Light, the City of Shreveport and all the other sponsors that made this room so much more appealing.”

In addition to the food and drink, the Captains Club also features flat-screen televisions, a stereo system, personalized messages on the stadium video board and a climate-controlled room for more than 100 fans.
