NSU-LSU game postponed

Contest rescheduled for Tuesday, April 20
SHREVEPORT, La. – Due to steady rain in the last several days and a wet Fair Grounds Field, the College Baseball Series game between Northwestern State and LSU scheduled for March 10 has been postponed until the scheduled rain date of April 20, Shreveport-Bossier Captains officials announced Tuesday night.
“While we’re so disappointed that we won’t have the game tomorrow night, we want to make sure that the environment here is the best for the players on both teams and the great fans that helped make this a sellout crowd,” Captains VP/General Manager Craig Brasfield said. “We’re going to continue work our hardest to make this an event that everyone involved will be proud of.”
All tickets purchased for the March 10 game are good for the April 20 game. No refunds will be issued. The rescheduled game is also scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
The Shreveport-Bossier Captains open the 2010 season in Fort Worth on May 13, and will be on the road for the first series of the year. The home opener is a day-night doubleheader against Pensacola on Tuesday May 18. All games will be broadcast on ESPN Radio, KRMD-1340 AM as well as streaming live on supertalk1340.com. For information on tickets, promotions, advertising, and other opportunities with the Captains, check out the team’s Web site at www.sbcaptains.com, or call the Fair Grounds Field office at (318) 636-5555.
